Unknown-3Mill Creek Pub has announced that it will donate 100 percent of proceeds made Monday, July 1, to ROCKSOLID Teen Center. Guests can go for either lunch or dinner for “Flip Flop Monday” and enjoy food, music, raffles, and more. The pub will feature new summer cocktails; a Huckleberry Lemonade, and a Pink Bikini Martini. City of Battle Ground offers cooling center during upcoming hot weather

The City of Battle Ground will open the Battle Ground Community Center as a cooling center from 8 a.m. to  9 p.m., Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3. The National Weather Service has issued a statement regarding their expectation for high temperatures and humidity in the region. Those needing a respite from the heat are invited to spend time in the City’s air- conditioned Community Center located at 912 East Main Street in Battle Ground. Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic meals, books, magazines, board games and activities for children. Wi-Fi will be available for those wanting to use mobile devices. Kathy Dean joins PeaceHealth

Kathy Dean was recently named system vice president, communications, marketing and public affairs, with PeaceHealth. She will work from the system’s Shared Services Center in Vancouver.

Previously, Dean served as the chief marketing officer at OHSU and the director of healthcare marketing and communications at OHSU Healthcare in Oregon. Earlier in her career, she served as the vice president, marketing communications, at Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pa., and director of public affairs at Northern Arizona Healthcare in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Dean’s current professional involvement includes a position on the board of directors for the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development for the American Hospital Association and on the editorial board for the American Marketing Association’s Marketing Health Services magazine. She recently served as marketing chair for the Association of American Medical Colleges, and was a member of the Chief Marketing Officers Council for the University Health Consortium.

Officers named to Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation board

HeaderSalmon Creek Hospital Foundation has elected the following officers to the board of trustees at the foundation’s annual meeting earlier this month. The new officers include: John S. McKibbin, Chair; Dennis E. Rugg, Vice Chair; J. Michael Schultz, Executive Director (ex officio); Kelly A. Higgins, Treasurer & Investment Committee Chair; and Verdella J.
