James Keller appointed vice president of client services at Innovative Services NW

James Keller

James Keller has been promoted to vice president of client services at Innovative Services NW. Keller has a master’s degree in public administration with a certification in leadership and management, as well as an undergraduate degree in social work. Keller has over nine years’ experience in upper management supervision, and in board facilitation, strategic plan development, staff training, and contract compliance. He has also had extensive experience with Head Start programs, as well as oversight and supervision of the disabilities, mental health and health components of Head Start. Keller was originally hired in May as Innovative’s volunteer coordinator.

Innovative Services NW is a Vancouver-based nonprofit that provides a variety of programs and services for the community. The organization’s mission is to provide quality services for all children, adults with disabilities or disadvantages, and their families. They are dedicated to providing opportunities to maximize each individual’s highest potential while promoting respect and acceptance of human diversity, sensitivity to individual and family need, and inclusion in a nurturing, community-supported environment. Wells Fargo ATMs accept donations for hurricane relief efforts

To help Hurricane Sandy victims, Wells Fargo has programmed most of its 12,000 ATMs to enable its customers to donate to the American Red Cross relief efforts today through Nov. 13. There is no fee for the service. Wells Fargo will send 100 percent of the donations to the American Red Cross. Wells Fargo is also donating $1 million to help hurricane victimes, including $250,000 for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to support its relief efforts throughout impacted areas in the region. The remaining $750,000 will go to nonprofits conducting grassroots relief and recovery efforts in the affected areas. For more details, visit wellsfargo.com.

Professional Connections meets Mondays at Big Al’s

Professional Connections, an outgrowth of what used to be the Clark County Chamber of Commerce networking group, meets every Monday from noon to 1 p.m. in the upper level of the sports bar at Big Al‘s, 16615 S.E. 18th St. in East Vancouver. Between thirty and forty medium and small business owners, entrepreneurs, and sole proprietors gather to discuss expanding their markets, to learn networking techniques, and to share leads and successes. Return ballots now for Nov. 6 election

Ballots being returned by mail must be postmarked by Nov. 6 or earlier. Ballots being returned in person before Election Day must be delivered to the Clark County Elections Office at 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver, or be deposited in the large red ballot drop-box located a half block east of the Elections Office, on W. 14th St. Normal business hours for the Elections Office are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Elections Office will also be open on Saturday, Nov. 3, to accept completed ballots and issue replacement ballots. The red ballot drop-box is available twenty-four hours a day. Those who have not yet received their ballots must contact the Elections Office today. On Election Day only, an additional 34 ballot deposit locations throughout Clark County will accept ballots from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. A list of the deposit locations can be found on the instructions included with your ballot, in the voters’ pamphlet, and at www.clarkvotes.org.
