“Anecdotal Evidence” storytelling show tonight
Thursday, March 31, 2011Anecdotal Evidence, a Vancouver-based storytelling series, presents its next show tonight, March 31, at the Atrium Lounge, 606 Broadway in Vancouver. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door. This month’s theme is “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.”

Make downtown Vancouver greener on April 9
Thursday, March 31, 2011On Saturday, April 9, Vancouver’s Downtown Association, in cooperation with the City of Vancouver, will plant 43 street trees along the sidewalks of Main and 9th Streets. Volunteers are needed to help plant these trees and beautify our downtown. The event begins at 9 a.m. at 819 Main St. for the planting. Volunteers should arrive earlier for a light breakfast provided by Chronis Restaurant; tools and gloves for planting will be provided.

The announcement was made at the Center’s 11th Annual “Home Is Where The Heart Is” breakfast fundraising event. Baker was honored for her long-term dedication to the agency.
