Vic Oenning, operations manager for Corwin Beverage Co., has been named a top national PepsiCo sales producer for 2006. In June, he will be inducted into the prestigious PepsiCo President’s Ring of Honor during a four-day event at the company’s Purchase, NY, headquarters. “Vic’s leadership and sales abilities have resulted in great numbers for our business in the past three years,” says Kyle Corwin, co-president and owner of the local beverage company. “We have posted record sales in several categories, and this year our plant was ranked fifth out of all Pepsi plants in the U.S. on percentage of growth versus prior year.” Oenning has been operations manager for Corwin Beverage since 1996. Many of Oenning’s sales programs tat were developed during the past ten years have been duplicated by Pepsi bottlers around the country, according to Corwin. Oenning has spent almost thirty years working in the Pepsi system, for both family-owned franchise bottlers and corporate plants. He started out as a route driver and worked his way up, holding such titles as general manager and process manager for sales for the Pacific Northwest. Oenning is a soccer coach at Hockinson High School and a member of the board of the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce. In business since 1941, the fourth-generation family owned Corwin Beverage employs 100 and serves four counties in southwest Washington. Marc Boldt and Steve Stuart

C-TRAN expected to seek The C-TRAN board is expected to vacate a current five-year advertising services contract and to call for bids for a new contract at its regularly scheduled board meeting that begins at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 9. The contract will call for sales, production, installation and maintenance of advertising space on C-TRAN buses. Seminar focuses on Clark College and the Vancouver Business Journal present an interactive seminar for executives on enhancing leadership skills and increasing the productivity of employees. Titled “The Power Within,” the seminar is from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 12, in the Hilton Vancouver Washington. John Hester, director of learning and development at Nike, will deliver the breakfast keynote speech. A breakout session will be presented by productivity expert T.K. Kieran. People KC Cooper, public involvement manager for the JD White Company, has been named Member-of-the-Year by the Portland Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar. Deb Wallace (D-17th).
