Support for Early Learning and Families (SELF) has received a one-year $40,000 grant to support future fundraising efforts and assessment of current funding methods.  “These monies from Meyer Memorial Trust are vital to the future of SELF and the Our Children Can’t Wait effort,” says Debbie Ham, executive director of SELF. “Meyer’s investment in our organization will create a solid plan and direction for our development efforts.” The grant is awarded to specifically:

  • Assess current infrastructure
  • Create a plan that will provide direction for future development efforts
  • Provide resources to implement the plan

“SELF (Support for Early Learning and Families) is working toward finding solutions to one of our community’s largest challenges: early learning,” says Doug Stamm, CEO, Meyer Memorial Trust. “We support this important initiative because we understand that creating a long-term funding plan and program for Southwest Washington will impact children and adults for years to come.” For more information about early learning and kindergarten readiness, visit www.selfwa.org/kready.
