Salvation Army exceeds fundraising goal at annual gala

Last Thursday, The Salvation Army in Vancouver hosted its annual fundraiser, “Dinner & Delight,” at Camas Meadows Golf Club. The event featured four local chefs in live-action stations, all creating Northwest cuisine in a competition for the title of Top Chef. Speakers included Evergreen Public Schools Superintendent John Deeder. As part of the Salvation Army’s Growing Together capital campaign, the evening passed its goal of $300,000 for a total of $402,415.
