Ridgefield celebrates Fourth of July this Saturday

The patriotic spirit of America is alive and well in the City of Ridgefield. For over 100 years the community has celebrated the nation’s independence in a big way. This year’s events start at 7 a.m. and culminate with fireworks at 10 p.m. The schedule of events includes:

7 to 10 a.m. – Pancake Breakfast at the Ridgefield Community Center
8 a.m. – Fun Runs (Click here for details)
10 a.m. – A Pet and Kid Pre-Parade
11 a.m. – “American Landmarks” parade presented by Corwin Beverage
noon – 3:30 p.m. – Chicken and Salmon BBQ presented by the Lions Club in Abram’s Park
10 p.m. – Fireworks Display presented by Comcast.

In addition a Kids Day celebration will take place from noon to 6 p.m., at Abram’s Park. The event will feature bouncy houses, music, crafts, “Creature Feature,” face painting, a pie eating contest, food and beverage vendors, and more.
