Recycling Day event May 2 in La Center

Clark County, the cities of Vancouver, Battle Ground, Camas, La Center, Ridgefield and Washougal and the town of Yacolt are hosting a variety of Recycling Day events throughout 2015. These events will give Clark County residents the opportunity to dispose of a variety of special wastes through reuse, recycling or safe disposal. The next event is this Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Holley Park, 1000 E 4th St. in La Center. Materials accepted are lead acid vehicle batteries, household batteries, white #6 block foam, computers, monitors, TVs, typewriters, cell phones and other electronics, freon-containing items (residential freezers, refrigerators, A/C units, etc.), household hazardous waste, scrap metal, and tires.
