“Pink in the Gorge” fundraiser in Stevenson June 3
Posted May 31, 2012The first-ever breast cancer awareness event in the Columbia River Gorge, Pink in the Gorge, will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, at Gorge-ous Weddings in Stevenson, Washington. It will be an afternoon for breast cancer survivors and their friends to relax and enjoy the beauty of their surroundings amidst the day’s activities, including a fashion show by A. Boutique, inspirational speakers, wine tasting, chocolate fountains and treats, assorted vendors, and an auction and raffle.
Upon arriving in Stevenson, guests will be greeted with pink balloons flying from downtown businesses, showing support for Pink in the Gorge. The Stevenson High School cheerleaders will raise pink pompoms to encourage survivors and those who have supported them. Representatives from Pink Phoenix, Pink Lemonade, Breast Friends, and Pine Hollow Retreats will speak about support programs and services. The event is organized by Deb Hart, a breast cancer survivor and Stevenson native.
Tickets for this event can be purchased online at www.inspirationaldebhart.com. The cost is $20 with registration, or $30 at the door. All proceeds will go to support Pink Lemonade and Breast Friends.
