Klineline Kids Fishing Derby Apr. 11; Special Needs Kids & Adults Derby Apr. 10

Klineline Kids Fishing presents a fishing derby event for kids age five through 14 all day at Salmon Creek Regional Park/Klineline Pond on Saturday, Apr. 11. The $5 registration fee gets each child an event t-shirt and fishing rod and reel. A Special Needs Kids & Adults Fishing Derby is set for Friday, Apr. 10.
Register for either event online at www.klineline-kf.org. There are multiple 45-minute-long fishing slots open between 8 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Arrive 30 minutes early to receive a t-shirt and pole.
There will be lots of other fun, free things to do in the park before and after fishing, including small take home wooden projects at the Home Depot booth, an archery clinic, learn how to tie flies and cast, face painting, draw some pictures, and eat some good food. Prizes are given for largest and smallest fish caught. One bicycle will be given away each hour.
