Goddard School in Salmon Creek collects books for Share now through Mar. 4

The Goddard School (Salmon Creek), a preschool focusing on learning through play for children from four weeks to six years old, will be collecting new and gently used books for children in need. Share will distribute the donated books in the weekly “backpacks.” There are over 31,700 children in the communities of Vancouver, Ridgefield, Battle Ground, Brush Prairie, Hockinson, Woodland, and throughout Clark County who receive free and reduced-meals at local schools during the week. Each week, Share fills 1,850 bags of food as part of its Backpack Program. The Goddard School is accepting donations at 13201 NE 178th St. now through Saturday, Mar. 4.
