The Clark County Historical Museum kicks off its 2014 Vancouver Walking Tours today. The tours run Fridays at noon and Saturdays at 9 a.m. through August 30. Tomorrow morning, Saturday, May 31, participants will enjoy “Movers and Shakers,” a tour of Capitol Hill and the Lincoln neighborhood, starting at 33rd and Main. Interested parties should dress for the weather and are welcome to bring a camera. The walks are an hour long and are led by tour guides that will talk about the development and highlights of each area.

Individual tickets are $5 for members and $7 for non-members and are available at the museum up to an hour before each tour starts. A half pass, good for any six tours, is $27 for members and $40 for non-members. The full season pass, good for any 12 tours plus the bonus Labor Tour on August 29, is $53 for members and $80 for non-members. These are available anytime at the museum. Drop-ins for the tours are welcome, but reservations are recommended.

Call the museum at 360-993-5679 for reservations. Visit www.cchmuseum.org to see the official tour schedule. This year’s walking tours are sponsored by the Clark County Historic Preservation Commission and the Courtney-Irvin Trust. For more information, visit www.cchmuseum.org.
