YWCA’s CASA program hosts open house April 19

YWCA Clark County’s CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Program will hold an open house on Wednesday, April 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information for interested parties. The community is invited to stop by the office to meet new staff, engage with community partners, and learn more about the CASA program and volunteering.

CASA volunteers provide factual information about the situation of children who are involved in the Dependency Court system because they are victims of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. They ensure that children don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or stay in inappropriate group or foster homes. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives.

The open house will take place in the Community Room of YWCA Clark County located at 3609 Main St. in Vancouver. Parking will be available onsite for public use. For more information, visit www.ywcaclarkcounty.org. Connect with the event on Facebook, here.
