Washougal Art Festival features regional artists this Saturday

The Washougal Art Festival will once again transform Washougal’s Reflection Plaza into a gallery of fine works of art. The event, presented by Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance, is Saturday Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the plaza, 1703 Main St. For a preview of the 27 participating artists, visit  www.WashougalArts.org.

Adding an extra layer of artistic fun to the day, performances by musical artists will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Performers include Wayne Havrelly, The Insanitizers, Caryn Jamieson, Tianna and the Hustle, and Jeffree White from Washougal School of Music

A popular elements of the festival is the raffle for works of art donated by participating artists. Tickets are $5 each, and visitors may choose the work of art they would like to win. The Paint Roller – Mobile Paint Party, will be offering free fun, artistic projects for children.

Local artist Cyndee Starr created the artwork used in the 2017 Washougal Art Festival promotions. A limited number of signed posters will be available for purchase at the festival for a $20 donation.
