Vancouver’s Downtown Association announces new executive director

Vancouver’s Downtown Association Board President Linda Glover has announced that Steve Becker has been hired to serve as the organization’s executive director. He will begin his new duties August 7. Becker most recently was the director of outreach for Daybreak Youth Services. Previously, he served as the director of communications for Coulee Medical Center, the executive director for Feeding Washington, and as former Governor Gregoire’s public affairs and community involvement point person for Eastern Washington. Lee Rafferty has served as the executive director for nearly eight years. She will be stepping aside to lead other projects.
