Vancouver Police awarded honorable mention for volunteer program

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) recently received a letter and certificate from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) for the 2012 Outstanding Achievement in Law Enforcement Volunteer Programs. VPD received an Honorable Mention certificate for the outstanding Volunteers in Policing Program category. Applications are still being accepted for citizens interested in attending the fall training academy to become a Neighbors On Watch (NOW) volunteer.
