Vacancy open on Civil Service Commission

The City of Vancouver is seeking applicants to fill one position on its Civil Service Commission. Applications must be received by 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29. The Civil Service Commission is an employment system used by government entities for the establishment of rules that govern employee hiring, disciplinary actions, and many important aspects of human resource administration in city government. It has three citizen members who oversee the administration of civil service within the Vancouver police and fire departments. The vacancy is for one six-year term.
