Telecommunications commission to conduct annual review of Comcast performance March 7Posted February 21st, 2012
The City/County Telecommunications Commission will conduct its annual public review of Comcast Cable’s performance on Wednesday, March 7, at 3:30 p.m. in Vancouver City Council Chambers, 415 W. 6th St. The session will also be televised live on CVTV Cable Channel 23. Call-in comments and questions will be received between approximately 3:50 and 4:30 p.m. Written testimony will be accepted through April 6. Citizens interested in submitting written testimony are asked to mail their comments to City/County Cable Television Office, P.O. Box 1995, Vancouver, Washington, 98668, or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Comcast was granted a 15-year franchise in November 1997, to provide cable television services in Vancouver and Clark County. Under the terms of the franchise agreement, the Commission conducts regular reviews of the cable operator’s performance.
The eight-member Telecommunications Commission is a volunteer citizen board that advises the Vancouver City Council and the Clark County Board of Commissioners on all matters related to the cable television franchise agreement with Comcast.
