Spaces still open at A3 Summer Camp at Captain Strong Primary, starting July 30Posted July 17th, 2012
Action, academics, and adventure are in store for children in kindergarten through fifth grade who attend the A3 Summer Camp at Captain Strong Primary School, 1002 N.W. Sixth Ave. in Battle Ground, held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. The next three-week camp begins Monday, July 30. Youngsters may enroll for just one week or all three weeks. The camp includes an array of activities to stretch young minds and bodies in a supervised environment that emphasizes respect, responsibility, and fun. Lunch is included, and transportation is offered between Captain Strong and Yacolt, Glenwood Heights, and Maple Grove Primary Schools. The camp is under the auspices of Battle Ground Community Education and the district’s Learning Support Programs, with staffing provided by the Vancouver-based One Team Kids. The cost is $85 per week, although scholarships are available. Parents may drop off children as early as 7 a.m. and pick them up as late as 6 p.m. for an additional fee.
