Southwest Washington Governor’s Debate to be held at WSU VancouverPosted August 3rd, 2012
Washington State University Vancouver will host the SW Washington 2012 Governor’s Debate between Jay Inslee and Rob McKenna. The debate will be held from 8 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, and will be broadcast live on KATU-TV. Brian Wood, KATU anchor, will host. This is the first Governor’s debate in Southwest Washington since 2004. Seating in the WSU Vancouver auditorium is limited to fewer than 200 seats. All tickets are free. More than 100 tickets will be distributed to the community and community organizations to ensure participation from every corner of Clark County. Forty tickets have been reserved for the public and will be available beginning Thursday, Aug. 16, on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested will be provided a website address to register for a single ticket. A phone number will be available for those who do not have Internet access. Details on the distribution will be released on Monday, Aug. 13. For those who can’t watch the live broadcast, CVTV and TVW will rebroadcast the debate on Comcast channels 21-23.
