Seattle poet John Burgess to appear at Ghost Town Poetry Open Mic March 8Posted March 5th, 2012
Seattle poet John Burgess will be the special guest at the Ghost Town Poetry Open Mic Night at Cover to Cover Books in Vancouver, 6300 N.E. St. James Rd., Suite 104B. The event will be held this Thursday, March 8, beginning at 7 p.m. Burgess’s books of poetry include Punk Poems, A History of Guns in the Family, and Graffito. He was a 2006 Jack Straw writer, co-founder of the original Burning Word Festival, and the 2008 Words’ Worth curator for the Seattle City Council. He’s currently editor for the online literary journal Snow Monkey, and board member at Richard Hugo House.
