Red Cross hosts farmer’s market and blood drive todayPosted July 30, 2012
The arrival of summer means fresh produce and county fairs, pool parties and backyard barbeques, spitting watermelon seeds and watching the stars come out at night. But more often than not the arrival of summer also means a shortage of blood on hospital shelves. The American Red Cross Clark County Donor Center invites you to give blood at their Farmer’s Market and blood drive event today. The community farmer’s market will highlight local small businesses during the blood drive. In addition, the Southwest Washington Red Cross Chapter’s Youth Council will be doing a fundraising car wash. To attend, swing by the Clark County Donor Center between 1 and 7:30 p.m. at 5109 N.E. 82nd Ave. in Vancouver, ( just northwest of the Vancouver Mall).
