Race for Warmth supports Operation Warm Heart Jan. 28

The fourth annual Race for Warmth to support Operation Warm Heart, a Clark Public Utilities customer-funded program to help families in financial crisis pay heating bills, is slated for Jan. 28. Participation in the event helps raise awareness for Operation Warm Heart, and all proceeds go to help local neighbors in need.

The timed 10k run and 5k walk/run will both start and finish at the Clark Public Utilities downtown, 1200 Fort Vancouver Way. The kids race begins at 8:30 a.m., and all other events follow. Registration is $30, and includes a long-sleeve performance shirt and race bag.

Pre-registration is recommended through January 27, at www.raceforwarmth.com. “Day-of” registration is available, participants should allow extra time and note that a shirt will not be guaranteed. An after party will be held across the street from Clark Public Utilities with food and beverages for registered participants.
