Nominations now being accepted for 2012 Florence B. Wager awards

The Parks Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2012 Florence B. Wager Award. The award recognizes a leader, a volunteer, and a professional, each of whom has contributed to local parks, trails, and recreation programs in a significant and exemplary way. The namesake of the award, Florence B. Wager, has been a passionate citizen advocate and volunteer for parks and recreation in Clark County for many years. She is a champion of parks and recreation services. The awards will be presented at the Parks Foundation annual meeting and luncheon on Thursday, June 14, at the Vancouver Hilton. This year’s keynote speaker is Mike Houk, executive director of the Urban Greenspaces Institute. Nominations must be submitted by March 31. Click here for nomination criteria and nomination forms.
