Michael Parsons retires from Evergreen School Board

The Evergreen Public Schools Board of Directors last night accepted the resignation of District Five Board member Michael Parsons, effective today. Parsons, a board member since 2009, stated in his resignation letter, “It has been a pleasure to work with so many talented and dedicated people these past eight years who have shown a true commitment to the students in Evergreen Public Schools.” Given the timing of Parsons’ resignation, the Board will not appoint a replacement member. Instead, the District Five position will be filled by the winner of the November 7, 2017 election. Parsons announced last spring he would not be seeking re-election.
