Hudson’s Bay student receives Leadership Through Communication scholarship

Josh Ingebretson, a senior at Hudson’s Bay High School, has been selected to receive the Leadership Through Communication Award Scholarship, which provides $2,500 in college tuition assistance. The scholarship was offered on a competitive basis through the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools. Vancouver Public Schools (VPS) was the recipient of the 2011 Leadership Through Communication Award, which came with a $10,000 prize that helped VPS make school board meeting documents more accessible to the public through a web-based delivery system. The prize money was also used to establish a scholarship fund for students pursuing college degrees in education or communication. This fall, Ingebretson plans to attend Central Washington University, where he will pursue a double-major degree in education and video/film studies.
