Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler has extended the deadline for high school students to submit their art for the 2012 Congressional Art Competition to Wednesday, April 11. The competition is open to all high school students, grades 9-12, who either reside or attend school in Southwest Washington’s Third Congressional District. The winner of the competition will have his or her artwork displayed for one year in Washington, D.C.’s U.S. Capitol Building Corridor. The winner will also receive free airfare for himself or herself and one guest to attend the June ribbon-cutting ceremony in Washington, D.C.
