Gov. Gregoire orders flags flown at half-staff today

Gov. Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington state agency buildings be lowered to half-staff today, Aug. 3, in memory of Department of Natural Resources diver David Scheinost. Scheinost died July 24 on the job while diving in the waters near Bainbridge Island to sample for paralytic shellfish poisoning. Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business today. Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
