Fort Vancouver offers tours, hikes, demonstrations, and kids’ programs every dayPosted July 13, 2012
The National Park Service debuts an array of brand-new programs, alongside community favorites, for a summer packed with active, educational, hands-on activities. Visitors can hike from Ft. Vancouver to the Columbia River waterfront, see historic weapons demonstrations, walk outside the park’s newly transferred East and South Barracks, or bring kids to enjoy afternoon storytime with park rangers. Three programs per day will be offered every day through Sept. 3. All programs are listed on the park’s schedule of events, available at www.nps.gov/fova. Visitors may also visit the park to learn more, or call the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site Visitor Center at 360-816-6230 to inquire about program offerings.
