Fish & chips and “Grease” at Meadowlark Tea Room July 21Posted July 18, 2012
Meadowlark Tea Room and Antiques, 1803 Main St. in downtown Vancouver, invites community members to don their best poodle skirts and leather jackets and cruise on in at 6 p.m. for an authentic British fish-and-chips supper and the very American musical Grease. (Somehow, notes Meadowlark’s owner Sharon Harbeck, the two just seemed to go together.) The tea room will become a ’50s malt shop with midcentury music and homegrown productions of Grease songs, performed by budding local thespians and singers. Participants can enter the costume contest, join in sing-alongs, or just enjoy the entertainment and the meal. The cost is $25 for adults, or $15 for children ages ten and under.
