“Fire in the Park” chili cook-off July 21Posted July 18th, 2012
On Saturday, July 21, local restaurants and fire stations will compete in a chili cook-off at Vancouver Firefighter Union‘s fundraiser, “Fire in the Park,” a benefit event for Share. The event is free and open to the public, and will be held from noon to 9 p.m. in Esther Short Park. This year’s competitors include America’s First Choice, Brickhouse Bar & Grill, Columbia River Pickleball Club, Foody Blues BBQ, Goldie’s BBQ, and Red Lion Hotel at the Quay, as well as Vancouver Fire Department Station 7 and Vancouver Fire Department Fire Training. Chili is $1 per tasting cup. Other activities include the firefighter’s competition, children’s events, and a fire apparatus display. Live music will be provided throughout the day.
