Extra DUI patrols Aug. 17-Sept. 3; let’s work together to keep our roads safePosted August 15, 2012
Law enforcement will conduct extra DUI patrols in Clark County from Friday, Aug. 17, through Monday, Sept. 3. Public education, combined with strict enforcement, is a proven method for reducing DUI crashes and fatalities. However, law enforcement officers can’t do it alone. Clark County law enforcement agencies encourage citizens to report drunk or suspicious driving by calling 9-1-1. Although not an emergency, the call could save a life. If you plan to consume alcohol while away from home, choose a designated driver, call a cab, or call a friend. If someone is too drunk to drive, take his or her keys. Join Washington’s Strategic Highway Safety Plan to reduce traffic fatalities to zero by the year 2030. The Clark County Target Zero Traffic Safety Task Force organizes and supports this enforcement effort. For more details, visit www.wtsc.wa.gov.
