“Cougs in the Community” April 14: Clark County Food BankPosted April 9, 2012
On Saturday, April 14, Washington State University Vancouver students, alumni, and community members are invited to join “Cougs in the Community” from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Clark County Food Bank. The food bank needs volunteers to sort food that will be sent to distribution sites across the region. Anyone age eight or older may participate with a signed waiver, and minors need a consent form. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes. All other supplies, including gloves, will be provided. The food-packing room is usually about 55-60 degrees, so coats or sweatshirts should be worn. “Cougs in the Community” t-shirts and other Cougar gear are encouraged. “Cougs in the Community” t-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Light snacks and water will be available. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
