Clark County heroes to be recognized at Red Cross breakfast March 9Posted February 28, 2012
Clark County residents Brett Anderson, Randon Walker, Hunter Nelson, James Bray, Heather Stackhouse, and Brian Croft will be recognized for their heroic life-saving acts of courage at the annual Southwest Washington Real Heroes Breakfast on March 9. The Heroes Breakfast began 15 years ago to recognize those whose actions resulted in saving the lives of others. In addition, it serves as the signature fundraising event for Southwest Washington American Red Cross. The Heroes Breakfast grew out of the desire to develop an event that closely aligns to the Red Cross mission: saving lives through prevention, preparedness, and response. The program honors ordinary people who have performed extraordinarily heroic actions in Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, Klickitat, Pacific, and Wahkiakum Counties.
Fred Meyer is the major sponsor of the breakfast celebration for the third consecutive year. Additional “Hero Sponsors” at this year’s event are Tidewater, Waste Connections, Inc., Corwin Beverage Company, Vesta Hospitality, Rehrig Pacific Company, the Stichman family, and Kaiser Permanente. The Columbian is this year’s media sponsor. The event will be held at the Hilton Vancouver from 7 to 8:45 a.m. For more information, visit http://swwashington.redcross.org.
