Sixth annual “Seuss-a-Palooza” benefits fire-ravaged Crestline Elementary Feb. 10-21Posted February 10th, 2014
Clark College has chosen to make the beneficiary of its sixth annual “Seuss-a-Palooza” book drive and literacy event Vancouver’s Crestline Elementary School, which was destroyed by fire in February 2013. The Clark College Bookstore is hoping that supporters will purchase 190 copies of the Dr. Seuss classic, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. The books will be given to Crestline students on Read Across America Day, March 3. Copies of the books are available for purchase and donation today, Feb. 10 through Feb. 21.
“The students are still in temporary facilities and are sacrificing a lot while they wait for their school to be rebuilt,” says Clark College Bookstore buyer Marti Earhart. “We want the children, parents, and staff to know we think of them and care.”
Donors will be able to purchase books for $6.85 each at the bookstore, located in Gaiser Hall on Clark’s main campus, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way; or online at www.clarkbookstore.com. Each book will have a nameplate for the donor’s name. For additional information, contact Earhart at 360-992-2261.
