Clark College welcomes prize-winning poet Matthew Dickman to “Columbia Writer Series” Nov. 30Posted November 26, 2012
The Clark College Columbia Writers Series launches its 2012-2013 season with prize-winning poet Matthew Dickman on Friday, Nov. 30, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Penguin Student Lounge, located in the Penguin Union Building. The event is free and open to the public. Dickman’s first full-length collection, All American Poem, won the 2008 American Poetry Review/Honickman First Book Prize in Poetry. He is also the author of two chapbooks: Amigos (Q Ave. Press, 2007), and Something About a Black Scarf (Azul Press, 2008). His second collection - Mayakovsky’s Revolver (W.W. Norton & Co.) was published in Oct. 2012. The Columbia Writers Series was launched at Clark College in 1988, bringing local, national and international authors to the college and the region.
