Clark College student awarded U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship

Clark College student, Castine Cruz, is one of nearly 1,000 American undergraduates from 386 colleges and universities across the United States selected to receive the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study or intern abroad during  the 2017-2018 academic year. Cruz is an international student from Guam who came to Clark to study health, biology, psychology, and anthropology. She anticipates graduating in spring 2018. This scholarship will allow her to study for four weeks in Costa Rica. The Gilman scholarship supports American undergraduate students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad. The program has successfully broadened U.S. participation in study abroad, while emphasizing countries and regions where fewer Americans traditionally study.
