Clark College Orchestra features bass clarinetist from Italy March 14

The Clark College Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director/Conductor Donald Appert, will present its winter concert, “Buried Treasures,” on Wednesday, March 14, in the Royal Durst Theatre at the Vancouver School of Arts & Academics, 3101 Main St., Vancouver. The program will feature Italian bass clarinetist Rocco Parisi, performing the world premiere of Appert’s Concertino for Bass Clarinet and String Orchestra. The concert will also include With the Wild Geese by Hamilton Harty, A Shropshire Lad Rhapsody by George Butterworth, and Capriccio Espagnol by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. The performance is at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Admission is free, but donations to the orchestra’s general fund will be accepted at the door.
