Clark celebrates Latino Culture April 29

On Friday, April 29, Clark College will celebrate Latino culture with three events.

All are free and open to the public.  Clark College is located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.

Guest speaker Braulio Garcia will host a showing of the film 90 Miles from noon to 2 p.m. in Foster Auditorium.

From 5 to 7 p.m., the Day of the Children/Day of the Book Children’s Fair will be offered at the Gaiser Student Center

Día del Niño/Día del Libro celebrates children and reading.  In a special reading area, student volunteers will read bilingual books to children.  Children will be able to make their own book, have their face painted, and get their picture taken with Oswald, Clark’s penguin mascot.  There will also be interactive entertainment such as dancing, singing and a craft demonstration.

At 7 p.m., Peña Folklórica  will celebrate Latino culture in the Penguin Student Lounge with entertainment and dessert.
