Clark College hosts community open houses for new site Oct. 25, 27
Posted October 21, 2016In 2007, Clark College’s Facilities Master Plan identified northern Clark County as an area where the college could fulfill its mission of providing access to underserved areas of its service district. Depending on the state funding process, construction of the first building could occur in 2020.
The Ridgefield site is the result of a generous donation from Hank and Bernice Boschma, who for many years owned a dairy farm at that location. Combined with an additional 10-acre parcel purchased by the Clark College Foundation, Clark College at Boschma Farms sits at the east end of the I-5/SR 501 interchange, making it easily accessible to students from throughout the North County region.
There will be two open houses to present the draft master plan taking place in October. The first is Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m., at Corwin Beverage, 219 S Timm Rd., Ridgefield. The second is at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Battle Ground Community Center, Lewis River Room, 912 E Main St., Battle Ground. Those unable to attend the meeting, can submit feedback at http://www.clark.edu/cc/boschma.
