Clark College honors five newly tenured faculty

Five outstanding educators are the newest members of the tenured faculty at Clark College. April Duvic (music), Jenefer King (medical radiography), Angie Marks (nursing), Meredith Moore (nursing) and Dawn Shults (pharmacy technician) will be honored at a reception today in Clark’s Penguin Student Lounge. The Clark College Board of Trustees approved tenure for the five faculty members at its meeting on March 28. The tenure reception is sponsored by the trustees and the college’s Office of Instruction. Tenure is awarded by the trustees based on professional excellence and outstanding abilities. The granting of tenure is based on the recommendations of tenure review committees to the vice president of instruction, which are then forwarded to the president, who presents a final recommendation to the trustees. Recommendations are based on self-evaluations, tenure review committee evaluations, student evaluations, supervisory evaluations, and peer evaluations. The final decision to award or withhold tenure rests with the trustees. For more information, call 360-992-2350.
