Clark College announces Athletic Hall of Fame

In recognition of the highest level of achievement of student athletes, coaches and staff, Clark College is establishing an Athletic Hall of Fame. The first inductees will be announced during the 2012 State of the College Address on Thursday, Jan. 19. The inductees will also be honored at a dinner on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m. in Clark’s Gaiser Student Center.

“Since Clark College was founded in 1933, athletics for women and men have played an important part in the lives of Clark students and in the college’s role in the community,” says Clark College President Robert K. Knight. “We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments and honoring our history in this new and exciting way.”

The college is currently seeking nominations for the first Hall of Fame class. Nomination forms are available at http://www.clarkpenguins.com/information/Hall_of_Fame and must be received by Tuesday, Nov. 1. Inductees will be notified by mid-December. Nominations may be delivered or sent to Clark College Athletics, O’Connell Sports Center, Room 205, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver, WA 98663.
