Clark College’s Seuss-a-Palooza book drive a huge success

As the Cat in the Hat says, “It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how.” Local community members know that the best kind of fun involves generosity. Case in point: The fourth annual “Seuss-a-Palooza” book drive at Clark College, launched on Feb. 6 of last week and slated to continue until Thursday, Feb. 16, has already reached its goal of 145 copies of Green Eggs and Ham. The books will be given to kindergarteners at Vancouver’s Fruit Valley and Harney Elementary Schools on March 2, which is Read Across America Day, commemorating the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Each book will feature a nameplate with the donor’s name. For more details, call Marti Earhart at 360-992-2261.
