Chelatchie Prairie Railroad holiday specials continue this weekend

Chelatchie Prairie Railroad‘s weekend Christmas tree excursions, offering three diesel trips, continue this weekend. The 1941, ALCO S2 departs at 9:30 a.m., noon, and 2:30 p.m. from the station in Yacolt, this Saturday, Dec. 9, and Sunday, Dec. 10. On the final weekend, Dec. 16 and 17, the railroad will run a special steam excursion, departing at noon and 2:30 p.m.

Along the trip, capture views of the Lewis River atop a hill-side vantage point, then return to Moulton Station. At Moulton Station, enjoy warm cider and cocoa, hot coffee and cookies. Santa will be on hand with a gift for each child.

Family tree packages include a fresh-cut six to seven foot tree and four train tickets; $70 for a Douglas Fir, $80 for a Grand Fir and $90 for a Noble. Add another tree starting at just $30, or an additional rider for $9 to $20, depending on age.
