CCHM closes temporarily beginning Oct. 1

imagesOver the summer the Clark County Historical Society announced that it would have a temporary closure for remodeling. The closure will start at the end of day, Saturday, Oct. 1. A strategic plan approved by the Board of Trustees in November 2015 called for improvements including new flooring, painting (interior and exterior), air conditioning, murals, and new front stairs. This work will take roughly two months. While closed, Haunted Walking Tours will continue as scheduled, starting at the Slocum House. Patrons will have limited and conditional access to the Research Library upon request. There will be no First Thursday program October through January. A re-opening date will be announced in November.
