Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program’s Home Foreclosure Project is hosting a free Home Foreclosure Prevention and Information seminar. Those at risk of falling behind on their mortgage payments or are already facing foreclosure, are encouraged to attend this seminar to learn about rights, options, and alternatives to foreclosure. The foreclosure process and timelines are explained and homeowners are provided with information about accessing free legal services. This free seminar is hosted bi-monthly, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday every month from 6 to 7 p.m. at the CCVLP offices at 1409 Franklin St., Ste. 101, Vancouver. The next seminar is May 5. The Crime Victim Service Center (CVSC) programs, including Lutheran Community Services Northwest, Children’s Home Society and Emergency Support Shelter will be holding an open meeting to discuss services for victims of crime in our community and the funding that supports this program. The goal of the CVSC grant is to support direct services to victims of crime and related outreach and awareness activities. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Apr. 24, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room at the YWCA, 3609 Main St., Vancouver. RSVPs are required as space is limited.
