CAM Jr.-Sr. High adds primary grades; Battle Ground HomeLink merges with River HomeLinkPosted July 18, 2012
Battle Ground Public Schools is improving its award-winning, parent-partnered CAM and HomeLink programs. CAM Jr.-Sr. High School, at 715 Onsdorff Blvd., is changing its name to CAM Academy and adding third and fourth grades to its fifth-through-12th grade configuration. It is also increasing its capacity for ninth graders. Grades one and two may be added next year. Enrollment is expected to be about 520 full-time-equivalent students. Battle Ground HomeLink is moving to the Maple Grove Primary School campus, 601C S.W. Eaton Blvd., where it will merge with River HomeLink. The combined HomeLink schools will have about 550 full-time-equivalent students. There are five different HomeLink programs involving one to three days a week in classes on campus, plus schooling at home. Parents are heavily involved in HomeLink programs and are expected to participate in professional-development sessions on campus throughout the year.
