April 12 is “Library Snapshot Day”

Fort Vancouver Regional Library District will participate in a state-wide project called “Snapshot: One Day in the Life of Washington Libraries” on Tuesday, April 12. This program, coordinated by the non-profit Washington Library Association (WLA), will illustrate the importance of libraries to Washington’s citizens through collection of statistics, stories and photographs.

FVRL will join libraries across Washington in taking pictures and collecting statistics and customer comments showing how Washingtonians use their libraries. Staff and volunteers in the district’s 13 libraries and three bookmobiles will photograph patrons using library resources and participating in programs. The photos and comments will be posted to WLA’s Flickr and Facebook pages by April 22. For more information about FVRL, visit www.fvrl.org.

Clark College’s Cannell Library, 1933 Ft. Vancouver Way, and the Information Commons at Clark College Columbia Tech Center, 18700 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., will be among the participants in the statewide project. In partnership with libraries across the state, the Cannell Library will post photos, stories and statistics on its website:  http://www.clark.edu/Library/.
