Annual Country Life Fair this weekend at Pomeroy Farm

Visitors to Pomeroy Living History Farm this weekend will find thousands of herbs and other plants to purchase, live music, great food and more. The annual Country Life Fair is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 29, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 30.

Goods sold include a variety of handcrafted trinkets and home décor, skin care products, jewelry, pottery, local honey, clothing, and more. County life demonstrators will be placed around the farm, showing off various skills such as blacksmithing, tin smithing, bow making, fly tying, and hand crafts.

Additional highlights include farm animals to pet, hayrides (for a small fee), and the historic log house. Particularly fun for kids is the “Country Life Passport.” A small prize is given to children who have completed their passports. The Farm Café offers sausage dogs, hot dogs, snacks, and hot and cold drinks for purchase.

Funds raised will support the educational programs at the farm. Admission and parking are free, but donations are gladly accepted. For more information, visit
