36th annual Halloween Fun Fest in Battle Ground Oct. 31

The City of Battle Ground and the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce invite area families to enjoy a safe Halloween with a myriad of events within city limits. Festivities kick off with the Spirit Award & Best Scarecrow Contest judged by Mallard Landing residents, the annual Coloring Contest for children ages two through 12, and the “Trunk-or-Treat” event in the Community Center parking lot.

The “Trick or Treat Street” event runs from 4 to 6 p.m. on Main Street on Halloween. All businesses that display an orange jack-o-lantern sign in their window invite trick or treaters in for a special treat. The Battle Ground Junior Air Force ROTC and Battle Ground Kiwanis Club will provide crosswalk safety.

At the east end of town, the Battle Ground Community Center will host “Fright Night,” a free event with lots of games, prizes, treasures, tricks, and treats, from 4 to 6 p.m. Battle Ground Albertson’s will again be providing cakes and cookies for the Cake Walk. All proceeds benefit the North County Community Food Bank. For more information, including registration deadlines, click here.
